In 2013 d u s t was commissioned to refurbish a neglected Victorian home in the Sibella Conservation Area of Clapham North. The property had been crudely divided into bedsits and served with an enforcement notice by the local council, which d u s t swiftly got lifted. The team then designed a series of contemporary extensions to the ground floor and roof level, adding two extra bedrooms and deftly steering the planning permission process. As an homage to the history of the building, we repurposed the original timber floorboards to create a feature wall in the new space. The overall result is a light-filled home full of character, with flexibility and ample living space for our client.
