Tooting High Street
Our team led the conversion of a mixed-use period block in Tooting High Street, creating 7 flats on the first and second levels by way of rear extensions on each floor. We also designed a totally new third floor with terraces at the front, side and rear – and a penthouse tucked just behind the historic façade, which needed to be retained to obtain planning permission. Further complicating the job, the work was carried out while the ground floor retail unit was in use – posing particular challenges during the build. Time and cost were driving factors for the client, as well as “good” BREEAM certification, which we delivered along with beautifully crafted apartments.
