Lyford Road

Straddling the west side of Wandsworth Common, d u s t’s Lyford Road project involved refurbishing the interior of a period home, with new extensions to the rear and side in the place of an outdated conservatory from the 1980s. Gavin Jones Landscapes designed a new garden with a swimming pool, which complements the contemporary extension at the rear of the house. In what has become a d u s t signature, our architects designed a frameless, glazed corner within the addition, which gives a real sense of being outdoors while inside. It was achieved by using the weight of the original building to create a cantilever – integrating new and existing parts of the house for the final result.
